i cannot remember the time when i loved "christmas music" .. when i was a kid? handel's messiah at st. marks cathedral in seattle?

it has been an irritating seasonal soundtrack in consumption environments like malls and starbucks for so long that all meaning, all melodic value, all emotional feeling, has been diluted to the point of disappearance.

that image you wish to use in future is indeed wonderful

i think there is huge potential for your visual art ... although i miss texture and hand and shakti in reproductions of digital art in any (flat) medium ... a big-time art pro would hire assistants to make oil paintings of the pieces such as the one about that you like so much .. maybe 6 feet square, or, if you are william kentridge, you would get local people to make tapestries of them, $100,000 a pop .. his work is brilliant by the way, animated drawings that he then turns into sculptures, tapestries, operas, etc ... :-)

Wow. What a fascinating story...I play the qanun fairly well, I started when I was 9. Of course I play the Turkish version, but I also have the Arabic styled instrument. I sadly cannot play that one for it is more for its presence than its sound...But it is just wonderful the things it can do! I love it when people from different backgrounds come together to learn about each other and what resembles a tradition or people. If you like to listen to the qanun played in a different setting, perhaps Turkish or Iraki, I suggest Ibrahim Tatlises' Antebin Kalestine, and mostly Ilham Al Madfai' s Mohamad Bouya Mohamed. The last song was the reason I even began playing. Congrats on the awesome journey!

Thanks
